Job Description

Although this bar serves Japanese sake only in Taipei, we are searching for an inexperienced bartender to come work with on a working holiday visa.

The owner considered spreading the sake culture of Japan as his personal mission, and so he opened this bar in Taipei seven years ago, where it has acted as a vessel to educate customers about a variety of Japanese sake.
This bar is not simply a place for people to go and enjoy a drink, but also hosts a variety of seminars, lessons, promotional events for new products, and other various events. The owner hopes to run the business in a way that provides an open environment for all types of activities.
Even if you do not have bartending experience, if you are a young person who is willing to take this challenge to share Japanese sake with the world, this is an opportunity for you to grow as a bartender while working with the owner’s support!
・Train under head bartender, beginning with handling support duties
・Creating drinks, handling preparations, and customer service
・Planning and execution of events and promotions
・Actively tackle new drinks, equipment, and ingredients to build your repertoire and knowledge as a bartender

・Recruitment Process：
　Please allow us to arrange the process in accordance with our applicants’ availability.
　The owner may come to meet you in Japan, or we may have you come to our location in Taiwan.

＜About the Bar＞
・The owner, who is Japanese, has been involved in Japanese sake since young adulthood and has over 20 years of experience.
　Our bar in Taiwan has over 200 varieties of alcohol and liqueur.
　Shochu, Japanese Sake, Japanese Liqueur, Whiskey, etc. Everything is Made in Japan!
Even the owner’s homemade Japanese spirits thoroughly adhere to Japanese standards.

・The bar seats 30 customers, but we see over 1500 customers per month.
　With great success in Japan, we are aiming to open our second location in London in the Fall of 2019!

・Aside from the owner, we have one more Japanese staff member, and then 5 other staff members. Also aside from the owner, our staff is in their 20s and 30s, and while they are young, everyone is treated equally and works together in harmony.
　We all contribute to the bar, and it is an environment where the staff can openly express their opinions and all aim to work towards growth of the business together.
　We are hoping to receive applications from those who are interested in Japanese liqueur and motivated to work hard!

Income

TWD 420,000 ~ 480,000 (About 1.54 to 1.76 million JPY, as of Sept 2018 exchange rate)

Holidays

・Time off：8 days per month ・Vacation：after first two months of employment up until first year, 5 days of pad time off ※ Taiwan’s labor standards are 3 days paid time off ・Work 22~23 days a month, shift system on holidays ・18:30〜27:00（8 hour work day）30 minute break　※ work 9 hours twice a week

Requirements

＜Education＞ ・Graduated from university, or equivalent educational background：upon mutual agreement, it will be possible to apply for a full working visa after the validity of the working holiday visa 　To do so, having graduated from university or possessing the equivalent qualifications are required ＜Experience＞ ・None required ＜Language＞ ・Japanese: Native Level ・English: Daily Conversational Level or Higher ＜Desired Traits＞ ・Someone who enjoys sake, who also wishes to share Japanese alcohol with the world ・Someone who wants to become a bartender ・Someone who is positive and enjoys challenging themselves ・Someone who is a team player with consideration for others
