Job Description

Washokujob posts job positions from restaurants abroad (with focuses such as sushi, yakiniku, kaiseki, ramen, etc.) after having a thorough conversation with the restaurant owner or person in change. So you can rest assured that our career advisors will have a solid foundation of information and impression of the restaurant when introducing the position to you!

This restaurant has a Chinese owner who has lived in Germany for 20 years. It features a fusion of Korean and Japanese cuisine, with offerings of yakiniku and shabu-shabu. This posting is looking for a bartender and/or front of house staff to work in this environment.
The indoor section seats 50, and the outdoor section seats 40. However, the outdoor section is only open from April to October, and is closed otherwise as the weather is too cold.

Job Details：
・Prep work at the bar, cocktail creation, interacting with customers
・Interaction with customers in the restaurant
(If you do not have bartending experience, you will start out only preparing simple drinks as you learn and gain more skills.)

After Tax：21,000 euro（About 2.7 million JPY; 11/2018 exchange rate）＋ company-provided housing and insurance

Holidays

・Weekly time off: 1 day (shift system) ・Restaurant Hours： 　Daily:　11:30〜15:00, 17:30〜22:30 ・Annual paid time off：21 days (can accumulate more starting 8 months after beginning employment)

Requirements

＜Experience・Skills＞ ・3 or more years experience interacting with customers in the food and beverage industry ・Welcome candidates who have bartending experience ・Japanese: Native level ・English: not required, but desired ＜Desired Traits＞ ・Someone who works with honesty and integrity ・Someone with high levels of communication who can quickly adapt to meet various customer needs and concerns ・Someone who will take initiative to improve the restaurant ＜Qualifications＞ ・Degree from culinary school or a chef's license ・For visa application: someone who can provide formal proof of work history. The further back in your employment history, the better.
