Job Description

This bar in Taiwan uses all sorts of sake and alcohol from Japan, and is currently looking to hire a bartender with no experience on a working holiday visa.

The owner sees his mission as sharing Japanese alcohol and culture, with a traditional, educational bar that he opened in Taiwan 8 years ago.
He does not only serve drinks to his customers, but also holds various seminars, learning sessions, promotions of new products, and other various events through the multiple locations he owns.
Also, he plants to open a second location next to an existing one, and is hiring for both locations.

Even if you do not have bartending experience, if you are looking to share Japanese alcohol with the world, this is your chance to work alongside the owner and hone your skills as a bartender!

Specifically：
・Begin with supporting the head bartender
・Making drinks, preparations, customer service
・Event promotion and other planning and execution
・Shake free from set bartending concepts and explore new ingredients and produce results

・Hiring Process：
　Hiring will depend on the hiring manager's availability
The owner may come to visit Japan, or you may be asked to go to Taiwan

＜About the Bar＞
・The Japanese owner became interested in alcohol in his teens, and has been living in that world since his 20s.
The bar in Taiwan has over 200 varieties of alcohol.
Shochu, sake, Japanese liqueur, whiskey, everything! It's all made in Japan!
The owner even makes his own Japanese liqueur.

・It seats no more than 30 people, but the location has over 1500 customers in a month.
　With this great success, they plan to open a second location.

・Aside form the owner, there are 5 other staff members, who are in their 20s and 30s. Everyone is treated as equals on this team.
Therefore, everyone is able to express their thoughts and opinions, and help make changes to further grow the bar.
They are looking to welcome new bartenders who share the same love of alcohol!

Holidays

・Time Off: 8 days per month ・Vacation: between 2 months - 1 year of employment: 5 days paid time off ※ Taiwan's labor regulation is 3 days ・22-23 work days per month, shift system ・18:30〜27:00 (8 hour work day; 30 minute break)　※ 9 hour workdays twice a week

Requirements

＜Education＞ ・Not inquired. However, after the working holiday visa expires, if you would like to switch to a working visa, you will need to have at least graduated from college, or the equivalent. The working holiday visa will allow people to experience work and life abroad regardless. ＜Experience＞ ・N/A ＜Language＞ ・Japanese: Native Level ・English: Daily Conversational Level or Greater ＜Desired Traits＞ ・Loves Japanese alcohol with a desire to share it with the world ・Wants to become a bartender ・Embraces challenges ・Team player who thinks of others
