Job Description

This 5-star hotel opened in 2016 in a quiet area near Matsuyama Airport.
Currently, they are looking to hire a head chef for the hotel restaurant.
You will work under the master head chef in the hotel restaurant.

The restaurant consists of 3 counter sections:
Teppanyaki (16 seats) / Sumibiyaki+Kaiseki (12 seats) / Sushi (12 seats)

There are 60 table seats, as well as a private teppanyaki room that seats 8,
private Sumibiyaki+Kaiseki rooms that seat 8, and other private rooms that seat 16.
That makes for a total of 132 seats.

Cost per Customer: Lunch: About 5,000-7,000 JPY
Dinner: About 7,000-12,000 JPY
Most of the customers are local guests.

There are Taiwanese chefs in certain sections,
so you will be asked to oversee the following:

・Of the 25 hotels represented in Taipei's Michelin guide in 2018, this location was placed in the top 3.
It has 146 rooms for guests, which are all 50sq meters or larger.
The hotel is reviewed as comfortable and lovely, with kind, warm staff members.

・The restaurant has about 10-15 staff members, and there are 10-15 hotel staff members as well.

・Working Hours：10:00~14:30、17:30~21:30 　（We are looking fora candidate who will work flexibly with shifts and times as needed by the restaurant) ・Monthly Time Off: 8-10 days ・Paid Time Off: After half-year of successful employment: 3 days; after one year: 7 days

Requirements

＜Experience・Skills＞ ・10 or more years of Japanese culinary experience ・Experience working at a restaurant with 30 seats or more ・Experience managing a staff of 10 members or greater ＜Language＞ ・Japanese: Native level ・English: Daily conversational level ※The manager has lived in Japan, so you won't have any trouble communicating in Japanese together
