現存するマーケットとしてアメリカ最古の市場「パイク・ プレース・マーケット（Pike Place Market）」
には、サーモンやカニ、ロブスター、いか、たこ、そして夏から秋・冬にかけては
名産のキングサーモンとダンジネス・クラブ（カニ）などが店頭に所狭しと並びます！
周辺には日本産（行った日は熊本産！）を含めたオイスターの食べ比べができちゃうレストランも。

☆An Ocean Abundant in Fresh Seafood! Enjoy the Oldest, Grand-Scale Market in America！ Seattle makes for a treasure trove of fish and seafood, with 40% of it's area being made up of water. It is also home to the oldest market in America, called the "Pike Place Market." At the Pike Place Market, you can buy fresh salmon and crab, lobster, squid, and octopus. And in the Summer to Winter seasons, you will even find king salmon and dungeness crab for sale on the store fronts! There are even restaurants where you can taste and compare a variety of oysters, including those from Japan. ☆Will I be OK in Seattle without an Umbrella?! Summers are cool, and the winters aren't too cold in Seattle. The rainy season in Seattle falls between fall and spring, and while it may even rain daily for a week, it's often so light that you don't even need an umbrella. And so, some Seattlelites (those who call Seattle their home) don't even use umbrellas! Most people will just wear windbreakers or jackets with hoods to keep dry! Let's leave our umbrellas at home♪
