Job Description

This high-class sushi restaurant is 8 minutes away from the Wanchai subway station in Hong Kong.
It seats 8 guests and has an omakase menu.
The service and sushi are both second to none.
※Cost per customer：4,000 - 5,000 JPY

The restaurant has been open for about 5 years.
We are looking for a chef that can create not only delicious dishes, but also create a wonderful experience for our customers.

Job Description：
　Overseeing preparation, cooking, and management of all aspects of cooking in the kitchen or at the counter.
　You will provide authentic Japanese sushi to our customers at the counter alongside our Japanese executive chef.

While you’re not required to have any English language skills at this point, we are hoping to hire a candidate who is eager to learn English and use their skills in the workplace!

Many chefs in the Japanese restaurant industry will take it upon themselves to learn English as a means to help further share Japanese cuisine with the world.
We believe that language skills and the ability to communicate effectively are invaluable tools in fostering a world-class chef.

Requirements

・Experience：5 or more years experience as a sushi chef ・Language：Japanese／native level. Other language not required ・Qualifications：someone with a chef’s license (for visa application) 　　　　Someone who can provide proof of past employment (for visa application) ・We are looking for somebody with vigor who is looking to grow as a chef. ・As per our work guidelines, smoking of tobacco is prohibited. Please be advised. 【Other】 　If the candidate resigns within one year of employment, they will be required to return all fees associated with the visa application and housing. 　This will be deducted from your salary, so you will need to give the employer one month’s notice before leaving the position.
