Job Description

We are the one and only high-end Kaiseki restaurant in the UAE, established in 2016. Located in the heart of Downtown Dubai, we offer delicate and elegant dishes using the finest quality ingredients directly imported from Japan through personal source. Embodying the centuries-old Japanese spirit of hospitality, \"omotenashi,\" we provide a diverse range of course menus, including and especially the premium quality Wagyu beef. Our mission is to continue delivering \"authentic\" Kaiseki cuisine, maintaining the vision of our founder to be the best Kaiseki restaurant.

We are currently seeking a Sous Chef with authentic Japanese culinary experience to join our team. We currently have five Japanese chefs, and the Sous Chef will be welcomed as a member of this team. Our restaurant focuses on Kaiseki cuisine featuring Wagyu beef, as well as offering sushi and high-end tempura dishes. The new hire Sous Chef will receive OJT (On-the-Job Training) from our Head Chef.

In Dubai, Japanese nationals have visa free entry and their visa and residency visa cost will be provided by the company.

Income

Holidays

- Work Days and Hours : 9 hours a day (54 hours/week） *Fixed overtime allowance will be part of salary - Days Off : 1 day a week - Paid Holidays : Annual Leave will be provided and public holiday will be granted as per UAE Labour Law(If the candidate work during Public Holiday, it will be counted and he/she can use that if he wants to extend his annual leave(if eligible and completed the required tenure) or he if he needs leave for elongated time then also he/she can use.

Requirements

[Requirements: Essential Skills and Experience] Applicants lacking any of the following qualifications or experience will not be considered. [Essential Experience] - Experience in cutting Wagyu beef - Authentic Japanese cuisine cooking experience [Essential Skills] - Conversational English (As English is the primary language in Dubai, daily conversational English ability to communicate with customers is essential) - Experience working in a high-end dining restaurant in Japan - Experienced Inventory management [Application Documents] *Required documents must be sent to the restaurant once the communication starts.
